Legislators Seek Justice for Residents of Rock Springs'
Years after the state attempted a dynamic compaction project in Rock Springs those residents of the so-called "tree streets" will finally get justice for the harm done to their homes and residences. Amendments to the Wyoming budget, introduced by Rep. Bernadine Craft (D-Rock Springs) and Sen. John Hastert (D-Green River) will pay for a structural engineer to determine the extent to which the dynamic compaction project was to blame for the rapid deterioration of the "tree street" homes.

Health Reform Rally
The event was sponsored by the Wyoming chapter of Organizing for America, the successor to Obama's political campaign. Enzi especially, and Barrasso and U.S. Rep. Cynthia Lummis, took shots from speakers who criticized their opposition to the proposed reforms. Some of the approximately 60 participants, who later walked with picket signs to the Cheney Federal Building to present a petition to Enzi's office, scored him for his comments last week when he said, "If I hadn't been part of the debate, you would already have universal health care."

Wyo will have two at health care summit
U.S. Sen. John Barrasso has accepted an invitation from Republican Party leaders to attend the Obama administration's health care summit on Thursday, giving Wyoming two voices in the high-profile event. Fellow Sen. Mike Enzi was already one of 21 lawmakers invited by President Barack Obama to the summit, the president's answer to a gridlocked Congress that hasn't been able to agree on health care overhaul legislation.

Former Sen. Simpson (R): GOP guilty of 'hypocrisy' on stimulus
Former Sen. Alan Simpson (R-Wyo.) says Republicans are guilty of "hypocrisy" for criticizing the sitmulus while soliciting funds for their district. The Wyoming Republican, who President Obama appointed to his newly-created fiscal commission, told Bloomberg that the GOP is selective in its condemnation of the $787 billion package.
