Urge the state legislature to remove the sales tax on food.
Take action by Tuesday, February 1, 2005
House Bill 214 sponsored by Democratic
Representative Ann Robinson would
remove the sales tax on food. It would also
provide towns and counties with
money to offset the revenue lost by ending the
sales tax on groceries.
It is wrong to tax the most basic need of
Wyoming's families. House Bill 214
would save a family of four over $200 every
year.
Before Wyoming families can benefit from a
sales tax exemption for food, the
legislation must pass the House Appropriations
Committee. Contact the
members of the committee today and urge them
to support removing the sales
tax on groceries. Click on a legislator’s
name to email him or her.
