LARAMIE, WY (WPR) - Wyoming Senator John Barrasso, a Republican, is apologizing to U.S. Representative Jim Matheson, a Democrat from Utah. That's after Barrasso said this about Matheson last night (Monday) in a Fox News interview about the health care bill.
"In Utah, a member from Utah that voted on the bill, he was against it and then he was for it and what a coincidence that his brother just got named to be a federal judge. How do you make those decisions? The American People are going to make that decision come Election Day."

In fact, Rep. Matheson did not vote for the health care bill on Sunday. He also voted against the House bill in November. A spokeswoman for Senator Barrasso says Barrasso misspoke, and Representative Matheson's office called them to point out the mistake. In a statement today (Tuesday), the Wyoming Democratic Party said that Barrasso should be held to accountable for fabricating stories to make political points.
