As promised, I have several links at the bottom of this post to different stories on Gary Trauner's entry into the 2008 U.S. House race. Suffice it to say people are excited. But first, here's an encouraging story on Gary's fundraising report for third quarter 2007, which gives him a nearly 20-to-1 cash-on-hand advantage over the incumbent ($165,411 for Gary, compared to Cubin's $8,651, according to the FEC).
Here are some links to stories across Wyoming and the nation on Gary's announcement that he is running for U.S. House:
Casper Star-Tribune: Trauner tries again for House
Wyoming Tribune-Eagle: Trauner retries Congress run
Jackson Hole News and Guide: Trauner to seek House
New West: Trauner announces bid for Wyoming's at-large House seat
Congressional Quarterly: Deja vu contest for Wyoming House seat
The news is also splashed throughout the blogosphere. Let's make sure Gary wins this time!

Governor missed me
Dec 7, 2007 | Harold Bovee | hbovee@nea.orgNever blogged before. Not sure how this works. I am very disturbed at Governor Freudenthal's disrespect for my pary and the fine candidates running for President. His arrogance is not well concealed, ever, that I have witnessed. but today's press accounts of his remarks about the Democratic candidates not talking about issues important to Wyoming; he took arrogance to a whole new level. Yes, Dave, there are Wyomingites who care about affordable access to health care for all, I just read the newly released "Kids Count" report; the fact that something like 29% of Wyoming's Children live in families where no one has worked full time for the past year, matters to me. I heard John Edwards elloquently speak about, "two Americas", I've heard Senator Clinton talk to it taking a village to raise a child, I read Senator Obama's, "The Audacity of Hope"; in every case those folks are addressing issues that mean a great deal more to me than if a wolf is a trophy game animal, and I've lived in Wyoming for over 50 years. So take your high brow attitude about if it isn't energy policy that lines state coffers, reguardless of the environmental impacts, at stuff it where the sun don't shine. I have two grandchildren and I hope we will get what courageous, non-self interested Democrats are fighting for; clean technologies, clean air, and clean water. Oh and by the way global warming, an unending war-first foreign policy, a US Supreme Court reversing decades of civil and individual rights, also matter to me. So brag about your 70% of the vote, I voted for you twice, but don't ever make the mistake of implying that you know what is important to this Wyoming Democrat. Today, Mr. Freudenthal, you lost my respect.
